Our Healthy Eating Ethos

We aim to make meal and snack times a happy, social occasion for the children and team alike. The daycare team support children's individual requirements and give opportunities for the children to experience new and exciting foods to taste.

We believe that offering children different foods and tastes is an investment to the child for their healthy future.

The centre is a healthy eating setting and all the children are provided with a healthy snack and drink, which is readily available during the session. The children are encouraged to eat fresh fruit and vegetables and independently help themselves to milk or water.

A balanced lunch is available and cooked by our experienced cook Jill. The daily menu is planned to consider the needs of full and part time children. Jill also prepares food for children with special diets and allergies. The menus are carefully compiled and feature local ingredients.
